IWS begin operations at its Simco Road Facility in Sept. of 1999. Shortly after IWS also started operating Elmore Counties Transfer Station and C&D site. In April of 2000 IWS started operation Bingham Counties Transfer Station. In 2001 IWS did the Construction Managment for Boise Counties Transfer Station and then began operating the Transfer Station for Boise County. All 3 of these Transfer Stations are under long term contract. IWS also does the long haul transpertation and disposal for these counties.

Community Contributions

IWS contributes annually to Elmore County, the host county for the Simco Road Landfill. $10,000 in Scholarships, $10,000 for an Environmental Fund, and $10,000 for a community service fund. In addition IWS is a Sponser for Idaho Association of Counties, and Boy Scouts.
